WRAG And Applying For Jobs?
xmollyx53
I have been in the WRAG group since July 2012. I was placed there for 24 months.
I have been for several WFI's. Do I have to apply for jobs? My advisor has told me to make a CV so I can start to apply for jobs in the very near future. I thought you didn't have to apply for jobs while in WRAG.
He also said I will have to see him every 2 weeks until my WRAG has ended. Is this right?

Work related activity group is what it stands for - there is no mandatory need to apply for jobs at all. Your advisor is wrong this is not JSA, but he obviously thinks it is. The whole idea is to see if you are capable of work and so far as I know you only have to attend 6 WFI's over the whole period of the WRAG award, certainly not every 2 weeks. However you could prepare a CV if you want to as that is always something that can be practised and who knows you may think of something on the job front that you could do at least with time. I am sure that others will be along who know more about WRAG than myself. I assume that you have now moved onto Income related ESA as you state award ran from July 2012? (Do you get DLA at all? If you did then you'd get the EDP added on automatically. Not to worry if you do not though.)0

You can be required to do anything up to actually applying for the job.
For example - you can be required to write a CV, and to write a job application, or even to phone up someone pretending to be an interviewer.
If you do not do what has been required (NOT applying for work, but all steps up to that) - your ESA can be sanctioned.0
