Foreign currency transaction fee?

Hello,
I'm currently in Turkey on holiday, just checked capital one mobile app. A few days ago we went on a private tour of Ephesus as this came to only £50 as opposed to the £96 Thomson were charging for a large group tour. We were very pleased with the quality of the tour etc.
Anyway spotted on my statement as I chose to pay by credit card that I have a £1.50 ish Foreign Currency Transaction Fee. But on the info for my card - Classic Extra - it says no fees for foreign currency transactions. I wouldn't have chosen to use it otherwise!
Anyone know why this would have been charged and if I can get it refunded?

If it shouldn't have been charged, ask for an explanation and refund.
Naming your card issuer may help.
If it's Capital One their web site says:
http://www.capitalone.co.uk/creditcards/classic-extra-credit-card.jsf#tabs1-faqsWhen you use most credit or debit cards to make a purchase in another country, you'll be charged what they call a Non-Sterling Transaction Fee.0 -
Thanks for response. Yes it is capital one - did say in first sentence. For classic extra it says 0.00% non sterling transaction fee and the only charge would be for withdrawing cash abroad.

When did you get your card? They have changed the terms for new customers but haven't retrospectively applied them to people who have had the card for a while - check your latest statement and see if the fee is listed as 0%.0
