my TV goes pink frequently - I can change the option from custom to standard or sports & it'll be ok for about 5 mins then gradually go pink again - I've spent the afternoon watching the French Open changing the option every 5 mins - what can it be?

Does whole pciture go pink or only parts of it and what sort of tv is it plasma,lcd, or (crt - Old style TV)?0
