Website Creating help

hi all hope your well

i am hoping someone can help me

i am wanting to create my own website to sell products i am making on my pc.

basically i create download content as payware for a simulation game called train simulator 2013

the files i create automatically get packaged into RWP files.

is there a website host where i can create a website to upload my files to that will allow people to purchase them pay me through the website ie paypal and provide them with a link to download the product they have paid

can anyone recommend a good website host that will allow me to do this

Have a look at www.fetchapp.com or www.pulleyapp.com. Similar sites with slightly different pricing.

I only give you a link to those as I suspect you are not in a position to code your own secure site and SQL database. That would be the ideal scenario (cheaper!!) but time consuming at the start.

ok so here is what i want

a website creator that will allow me to create a website

allow me to upload files that customers can click buy and pay then the product will download to them

allow me to be paid through paypal

does that help lol

Creating a website is no great leap. Any amount of free WYSIWYG editors about. Or just use wordpress. (FREE)

Allowing you to upload files will require some form of hosting. (There are of course free cloud storage sites). (FREE)

Getting money through Paypal is no problem either. Just put a pay now button on your site. (FREE - apart from the PP fees)

None of the three things above will let you provide a secure, one time only download link for each customer though. You can't just have a simple download link or the whole web will have it within minutes of the first sale. (FREE!!!)

That means you need a solution which will have a shopping cart with automatic delivery on payment. I did come across THIS SITE on google, which seems to offer a cheap ($0.25 per sale) solution for you, but I know nothing about it. Might be worth a read.

Bear in mind that you will still need a website to integrate the software into, and hosting for files, site etc. Do yourself a favour and pay for the hosting. It's quite cheap (I pay about £35 for the year for five sites, and I host lots of image files along with some video streaming), and a domain name is only ~£7 for two years. You can incorporate the cloud hosting for files into your package.

As I said, I don't know anything about them.

There are free shopping carts available, like Zen or Agora, but I still can't tell you anything about them. I would suggest reading the forums on their sites and asking what other people do. Best to get answers from someone already using it rather than trying to reinvent the wheel.
