Generation Game!

Hi

Just a light post really.. how many (alive) generations are there in your family/have you known?

I'm 21, my mother is 40, my grandma is 75. My son is two, so has a full generation line! My granddad died ten years ago, but he was a lovely man, one of the best people I knew. He made me a dollhouse for Xmas *tears* which I STILL have and will never chuck. Made the best Christmas pork stuffing ever and practically lived in his garage! I only wish my son had known him!

What about you?
Up and onwards to the future!

Just 4. My great grandma (on my mum's side) died a few months after I was born. I only have my nan. Both my grandparents on my dad's side were dead within a year of me arriving.

After my gran died when I was 18, that left my dad, us (me and my siblings) and my niece and nephews, so 3 generations.

Quite sad that all my grandparents have died, my dad was the oldest member of our family when he was only 54 :(

I do have lots of wonderful memories of my gran though :) She used to make us fried potatoes for breakfast on a Sunday, the leftover cooked potatoes from the night before, cooked in her big cast iron frying pan :)
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

My sons are 7 and 10 and they have myself and their grandparents. Their great grandparents all died before they were born.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

My great nan died at 98 while I was pregnant with my son. She was a wonderful person. I had all my grandparents until my grandad on dads side died earlier this year
