backup data to an external drive then factory restore is the easiest cure, F4 at boot.

Thank you for your help, what do I need to uninstall?

Tried to run adwcleaner but I took over an hour and didn't move past the half way mark.

No I haven't run a malware scan as my subscription run out and I haven't updated it, also my norton has just run out.

Thank you I have deleted those, will install those programs you suggested, adwcleaner is still running doing a generic search, when do I need to do a systems restore?

So sorry for all the questions - my 9 year old knows more than me but he's in bed lol

as you've started to manually clean it, you may as well continue down that path, and use the cleanup tools on top.

factory restore (which is different to system restore) can be used as a last resort, as it will delete all your data and programs installed since purchase.

That's not a problem, I don't have much on laptop that I need to keep, so If I need to go down that route I will.

if the samsung allows you to create the windows recovery disc - see manual, it's useful to have in case a factory restore fails, but for now, just let malwarebytes/adwcleaner etc do it's stuff after manually cleaning as above.
