Problems saving HTML documents

After years of no problems, my computer system is now often refusing to allow me to download HTML articles from certain newspapers. I see an article, click on "Save It", only to be told that the system can't.
I use the most recent Suse operating system on my computer and Firefox to view the Web.
Bizarrely, if I change the name of the article to anything else, the system will allow me to download. But why? And why has this problem occurred after so many years?
I download articles either to a USB stick or an external hard drive and both have the same problem.
I bought a new computer and upgraded the Suse operating system but the problem remains.
I went to Belgium recently and tried downloading articles there using Windows 7 and Seamonkey. No problem!
I can't see a logical pattern nor understand why simply changing the name allows the download to take place. Can any of you?
Thanks!

It could possibly be a copyright protection implemented by said news papers that are applying the restriction via detected location from the ISP you are using. You could try setting up a proxy account (Google it) and you may well find that you can do what you are trying without having to change filenames.0

Quite odd I must say! Do you get an exact error message? If so can you post it verbatim? What raises the error I wonder, the page, browser or operating system?0
