TV Replacement

hi there, I am hoping someone can give me some good advice.

Today (22 August 2013) at 09:45AM my new replacement LED smart TV was delivered from Co-op through my home insurance (NatWest), then only 4 hours later the TV developed so many faults it was unusable. Natwest and Co-op were rang later that day and nobody will take any responsibility to sort this out, Co-op are saying that I have to ring the makers of the TV Toshiba and get them over the phone to verify that there is a fault and then only will they pick it up and replace it again, this item was clearly faulty when delivered and I do not see why it is my responsibility to ring the makers of the tv, I even had to pay NatWest £100 excess for this headache, I am also very doubtful that Toshiba will verify a faulty item over the phone and if they don't what do I do then

hope someone can help

thank you in advance

  • Some good advice - don't create problems where there are none.

Why not just pick up the phone and see what Toshiba say? If the tv is as bad as you state, you won't have a problem.

In the time it took you to register and start this thread you could have made the call, called back Co-op and had a replacement delivery arranged.
