Hi
My house is a linden built home the washer socket has stopped working my dad feels certain there should be a fuse box for it somewhere as its a socket just for a washer only we cant find it does anyone have a linden house and know where we might find it ? All the fuses in the main circuits are on its just that socket and all the wires work etc been tested just cant find the fuse for that socket theyve hidden it !
Thankyou

Ok theres a gridswitch on wall says freezer cooker and a blank one would there be any fuses inside thia does anyone know ?
Thanks0 -
How has the electrician tested and proved the wire and sockets work if he cant find the termination point?
It could be a radial circuit with a broken connection or a spur off a ring with the same.
If you open the socket up is there one set of wires or two?0 -
Fuses wont be in gridswitches, they are just switches.
Its possible that the socket is off a FCU (fused connection unit) which have a fuse to the left (or sometime above or below) in a removable carrier. Although this would be remarkably bad practise
