Selling I-tunes giftcard?

I've got a £50 gift card I probably won't use which I'm contemplating selling on. Just wondered if there's any scams I need to be aware of - as I've never used one before, could a buyer claim it had already been used, or something like that?
Thanks

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

They could spend it and claim the card had no credit, and return for a refund.

I didn't think you were allowed to sell them on eBay.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I had a quick look and there are some on there at the moment, which is what got me wondering.

There are 2 types of people who buy these:
    1) people looking for a bargain - they bid less than face value
    2) people using fake paypals and need to get money out - they bid more than face value

    1) Will be happy with the purchase if they get it for cheap
    2) May not do anything even if you scam them, because the last thing they want is the money back in their fake paypal

Yes you can still get scammed but it's really only possible to do this a few times per ebay account, otherwise ebay will ban the buyer for opening too many cases. There isn't any way to detect whether anyone is likely to scam you when they are bidding. But if you see a low feedback account bidding, you should probably cancel their bid and block them.

Just because people sell them on there doesnt mean you should risk it.

How many get restrictions on their accounts because of it?

If you dont mind risking your account then you can gamble it away. But dont be shocked if they pull your listings.

  • Maybe try selling it on gum tree cash on collection or Facebook etc
