Capital One round 2

Hi,

A few years ago I claimed PPI back from a loan I took out with Natwest and was succesful. I also had a credit card with Capital one with PPI that was mis-sold to me so I thought I would try and claim PPI back from them. After a few weeks I received a letter from Capital One saying that because they had sent me a photo copy of my contract out in the post and I had ticked the PPI box myself that they were not in fault, even though the agent I spoke with on the phone when taking my credit card out misinformed me about how necessary the insurance was. The letter also informed me that as I am complaining about not needing the PPI that they would stop my PPI insurance and I would not be able to get the insurance out on this credit card again. I have just noticed on my Capital One statements that I am still paying for PPI and I have been doing so all these years. I am kicking myself for never really checking my statements but hey we live and learn. My question really is do you think it is worth me putting in a claim for the PPI even though I no longer have the letter that Capital One sent me years ago advising they would stop my Capital One? If so has anyone got any advise on going about this?

You can make a complaint about misselling [but dont hold your breath as you bought by post by the sounds of it] or you can ask for your subsequent PPI payments back.

Capital One have the lowest overturn rate at the FOS because of the way they sold.
