Hi my wife had a credit card with egg before we met and sometime in 2006 she cancelled the credit card and had to phone CPP to cancel the service.
We don't have any paperwork from that period anymore due to a house fire but how do we go about trying to reclaim this as she was mis-sold this, she first got the credit card in 2003

The period with concerns is between January 2005 and March 2011. If you wanted it then its not mis-sold. If it was sold to you with false representation then it was mis-sold.
She just needs to complain giving her reasons for why she felt it was mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). i have checked and she was mis-sold it due to working part time being a student etc, she took it out in 2003, how do we go about this, not very good at this kind of thing0

Being a student and working part time has nothing to do with CPP. Are you getting it mixed up with PPI?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). sorry that was for the other one, when she applied she tells me she was told that if her card was stolen and funds spent on it she would be liable unless she took out this protection0

That could be grounds for a successful complaint as that is typically covered on the card without needing that extra protection. So, there you have a reason to make a complaint.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. What happens if you had a CPP plan opened prior to 2005, but closed in between the dates above? I have heard they write to you.
Edit - I've read the main article on the web site and it says you can write in and complain. Is this going to be via a questionnaire like the PPI ones?Mortgage Free Wannabe Light Bulb Moment (Early 2012, started May 2012)
