Guess where I'm going immediately after dropping DS off at playgroup

DDs just gone into yr6 today so your story sounds similar to what I've experienced recently :D
The new uniform code is skirt, shirt, tie (all the jazz you'd be wearing in an upper school) so obviously it's novel to the whole lot of them as they're still in primary school.
I'm sure the skirt will end up shorter than when she left the house (it was down to her knees!).
If I remember right I did the same kinds of things when I was in upper school so it's hard for me not to end up laughing in front of her :rotfl: only difference is she seems to have developed more up top than I had by the time I was 16!

EEk I know - they are maturing earlier and earlier. I noticed on hols she is developing a wiggle when she walks and 'suddenly' growing up in front of you. No development up top yet tho, but she keeps checking on a weekly basis for swelling  - tbh by 16 I was still indented skinny all over so she will deffo be bigger than me at 16 - fingers crossed. So being older and post kiddies I now have the bigger chest I wished for :p, but didn't specify anything else - so now have the bigger belly and extra weight to go with it :o - be more specific with your wishes girlies :).

Yes Head at DS school he started at this week very clear to parents - do not adjust hemlines despite pleas from your daughters its not allowed. CAn't remember which but one of local schools has just gone trouser only for girls.

Hopefully they'll be so tired out this week with school they can return to dreams of sealing wax and other things .................. Keep calm and carry on :rotfl:

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
