But the trolley was not put out for customers. He was pushing it towards the back for the staff. it was only because i saw the flowers i realised it was a reductions trolley. My waities sometimes keeps stuff back for staff (you can see them rummaging through the stock room doors :rotfl:).
Most times they put it out for customers and quite often multibuys kick in and you make a profit/get stuff for pennies so I don't begrudge them the occasional night that they keep stuff back for themselves
If they did it all the time I'd think about saying something, but I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me. All the staff that do markdowns near me know and like me (hard to believe?) because I talk to them and thank them rather than ignore/demand/shove
Aau has said what I wanted to say, but so much more eloquently.
I don't begrudge the staff it at all. They do work hard, and they take a lot of crap off folks.

I always and well mannered with the reductions staff and make sure I don't take it all if others are looking as well. It was just his attitude regarding the partners. Don't get me wrong I love the reductions there so rant over
If it's a new store I would give it a chance to change/try to build up a rapport with staff before complaining about anything
Now I'm off :wave:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Well, yes , staff should be able to buy the reduced stuff - but (in my opinion) only if they are off duty and go into the store to do their shopping. They still get a better chance than general customers as they have insider knowledge on reduction times. They also have the option of getting family/friends to shop around reduction time.
I don't think that staff should be able to take reduced items out the back to other on duty staff. I'm a bit surprised that store managers allow their staff to do this - one of my favourates SA's in Tesco told me that they aren't allowed to buy/reserve anything until they finsish their shifts.ELITE 5:2

Maybe I am being unreasonable but the new store is causing all of us problems. They built it next to a pay car park ( cost £1.10 which off if you spend over £5.00 and i dont have a problem with that) and there are no facilities for staff car parking. So consequently they park all along our road and up towards the senior school. It has caused major problems with traffic and when the school re-opens next week it will be chaos. Also I only know 2 people out of all the staff that live in our town and most have to drive to work hence the parking chaos.
You need to contact the Council for issues with parking and traffic.
Waitrose is top notch at 7pm. All the bread and baps get reduced very heavily. Shame the one near me is miles away!0 -
Tits tits tits!
Evening all. Haven't messaged my ex yet to see if the cat did get put down. I don't want to bother him he was so upset on the phone earlier. Just said I was there if he needed me. Wonder if there was anything the vets could do but with a broken back it doesn't sound like it
Sorry to bring the mood down. I also second the request for no more pics of manky toenails!!! Eurgh.Debt free 6th December 2014

I will mull over whether I will say anything by monitoring the reduction the next couple of times I go in. Thanks for everyone's opinions. Must go have a Red Velvet cake to bake for tommorow before bed0 -

The council are looking into it and the police have put out some bollards. however the road was supposed to be resurfaced last week and a big bit of it was not done as there were cars parked on it ( even though there were signs saying no parking between certain dates)0 -
