They sent me an email with probably just about every code I had entered and said send 20 that are on that list. I think the codes were in the same order as they had been entered in.

grand, hopefully it's the same for me

    Thanks

    opinions please.
We have a new Waitrose in our town opened a few weeks ago. been quite good for reductions the last week or so. Popped in tonight 30 mins before closing. Normally there are 1 or 2 trolleys with the final reductions at that time by the till. However there was only 1 trolley with 3 chicken pies ( reduced from £1.99 to 49P each) and some olives. I picked up the pies ( to freeze) and wandered around. There was someone reducing f&v with most going back on the shelves as it was tommorows date and then a young man appeared with a trolley with reduced flowers and stain remover products and a couple of Sanex bath products. The veg lady threw in a couple of greatly reduced veg items. I asked if he was going to reduce the flowers more ( I was looking for some to do some small arrangements for sis Silver Wedding party tommorow) and he said if i waited about 10 mins he would reduce them more. i wandered off and came back around and he reduced some rose bouquets to 49p each so i had both. there was another bunch I wanted but he said no not yet. So I picked up the 2 Sanex out of the trolley and some mange tout. It was nearly 9.00 by now so i said are you not going to reduce the flowers more and he said no this will be divided amongst the partners now.
When i enquired what that meant he said the staff and pushed the trolley out the back.
    What do you think?

I think it's perfectly reasonable for the staff to be allowed to have some if they wanted. The customers had their chance so why shouldn't the staff get a chance?

But the trolley was not put out for customers. He was pushing it towards the back for the staff. it was only because i saw the flowers i realised it was a reductions trolley.

My waities sometimes keeps stuff back for staff (you can see them rummaging through the stock room doors :rotfl:).

Most times they put it out for customers and quite often multibuys kick in and you make a profit/get stuff for pennies so I don't begrudge them the occasional night that they keep stuff back for themselves

If they did it all the time I'd think about saying something, but I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me. All the staff that do markdowns near me know and like me (hard to believe?) because I talk to them and thank them rather than ignore/demand/shove
