Well done you. (Bout bleeding time :D)
Life is not about learning to avoid the storms - it's about learning to dance in the rain.
  • I have a quick question if that's ok! If I were to get 3x quorn mince at A for £3 each would that work against T £2.50 each but offer 3 for 2 so a £4 difference?
I'm trying to get some stuff I actually need (can still throw in a few deos!)

Also sending hugs to everyone feeling abit down today, something's really put life into perspective doesn't it?

Thanks aau1 I have learned a VERY costly lesson, food shop will need to be rethought for next week now as I have lost a massive chunk of the budget on a mistake :(:(

The PLUM Cape Beef must be on Sainsbugs website for 50p though as that worked and I did get a PP for £2.23
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700
    :TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!

    Morning all

Store closer to me had 4 left so I reserved one of those, just catching up to see if anyone else has picked one up yet today. ;)

Picked mine up and is previously posted. :D
  • got my vax last night, so thank you op for posting. It was the last one in stock!

I have been reading back but can't see if the cat food glitch has finished. I saw a warning yesterday that in store the price had gone up but does anyone know if still comparing to £1? At 2 for £5 will probably still give it a go, as that is the price I normally pay.

Can't get there until this evening but will be away from computer this afternoon.

    Many thanks in advance

Did you look for the heinz pear juice at 41p?

Its RTC in T, going through the tills at that price so no need to stock up on fillers. (Dont try it on an apg shop!)

I've just had a good long old fashioned sob and a weep and a howl at the general misery and unfairness of life - if anyone wants to join me then put the kids and the dog in the garden first so you don't upset them as well.

Its the things that are out of your hands that you have no control over that really get to you.

But worst of all a brown envelope came. My eldest son is out on tour in a month or two time and they send a letter to the familes with the name of the tour and details of the contact and numbers etc and a booklet with lovely smiley faces, uniforms and families and babies etc on the cover entitled

"A guide for the families of deployed Regular Army Personnel"

Twice I've got it out of the envelope now and put it away, cant even open the booklet.

Eldest son drives me completely demented but even so it rips me to shreds that he is going out to that place for 6 months, no leave and he probally wont even think to contact us more than the absolute bare minimum.

So I am going to go and get myself ready and have a stroll around the supermarkets and tackle some of my numerous APG/TPP/couponing/glitch/cashback
lists and then come back, clean the kitchen, make a banana loaf, do some competitions and generally keep frantically busy so I don't have to think or worry or dwell on things about the kids or my Dad or anything ...

    Afternoon :)

Ive not been around alot, Im still on my hols until tomorrow. Ive not even been lurking much  Ive just been skipping and came across this.

My heart goes out to you Mhoc, it truly does. It's the worst feeling in the world and the only way to deal with it is to get on with things as best you can. Don't try not to worry, you will worry for every single second of that 6 months.....you can't not. Be strong, lean on anyone that you can and if you need to have a good old bawl sometimes, do it! It's one of those things that never gets any easier :(

I am here to offer an ear if ever you need one.

Hope I haven't missed too much else. Im travelling home tomorrow and normal service will be resumed :D

Hope everyone else is well :)
