I ought to mention (as I've popped back on here briefly to remove a potential trip-up item from the M list) this:

    Gillette Power Rush 150ml anti-persp. deo. 55p for M until 1/9.
The only version I could see near to this label was the Gillette Cool Wave 150 - not sure if 'power rush' is this one??

    Hello, good morning this time!:)

The price collection was done earlier. This week - not too much change - you wouldn't have thought I'd find additional items (to go onto the M list later)...but I did!! Much of last week's items are still on (I've now already updated the M list so that those that are now expired have been removed - list now consists of the items from last week that are carrying over, continuing onto this week.

This time it's easier to tell you what's no longer on rather than what is! The Raspberries that were on last week have shot up in price, so no longer on. The "Bigger Back Worse Value compared to last week" Oranges - were £1.00 last time, now £1.49. The £1 offer has instead moved onto M's pack of Large Oranges (5pk) now - to be checked as to whether it is comparable from A or T - M's weight on those is about 1.15-1.2kg - indeed I think they weigh more than the other oranges: if that's so, the Large Oranges (5) are now a bigger pack and better value than the 'Bigger Pack Better Value' (possibly :naughty:) oranges that are now £1.49. I suppose it depends what size you want your oranges however.

The Carling 20x440ml is now "Great Value £14":rotfl::rotfl::(.

"Great Value" appears to mean a price increase. I see it against items that were significantly cheaper last week. Previous examples have included Walker's 22/24 pack multipack crisps and, more recently, the PG Tips 240 pyramid tea bags. They were great value, apparently, after we had finished comparing them to their previous cheaper price.

The Pringles are off almost as soon as they were on. Last week "£1.24 'until 25/9'"), this week £2.49 (I think! I didn't note that price down!).

M now has a new offer on the Cornflour, that is cheaper per pack than the original 46p cut price that had been running until 18/8. Last week it went from 46p to 69p. And it's still 69p now - for one - but now on 'any 2 for 80p' (until 29/9 I'm told).

The Frijj milkshakes offer has also now expired, and the Bird's Eye 4 Crispy Chicken (both Original and Garlic & Herb) are now back up to full.

The Linda McCartney ones from last week have gone. The £1 has now switched onto the Linda McCartney 6 Vegetarian Red Onion and Rosemary Sausages 300g. Perhaps to try to catch us out!

For those of you (including me occasionally - well, when shopping in T and reaching £30 for £10 off) who think the 50p Nestle Potz in A (160ml) are good value - the Nestle Toffee Crisp Potz is back in M. 50p for 220ml!

And there's some 50p Dental Floss in M now to add to the 50p Dentral Tape.

    Now onto the important stuff...

    Shopping from A
The £1 cat foods are still on according to the SEL tonight - but this is just one M store so it could do with confirmation from a second M. The SELs were there but there was no stock of those items when I arrived tonight, although that's never stopped me trying a comparison from A. In theory if a product is out of stock but there is still price labelling, the price label info. is still taken (presumably on the basis that, although out of stock in the M being checked, it could still be available in some other M elsewhere). Nonetheless in practice some of these stockouts result in N/As, supposed to be when last found in stock more than 7 days ago, although not entirely clear to me exactly when they will or won't compare.

So it's possible the catfoods may still be comparing to £1 M from A - but might stop doing so very soon. I found SELs at £2 for M's "Meat Selection in Gravy" 1.2kg (which is obviously compared to from A's Tiger Meat Favourites in Gravy Pouch (12x100g), M's Poultry Selection 1.2kg (compared to from A's Tiger Poultry Variety Selection (12x100g) and also M's Senior Pouch 1.2kg (but what senior pouch or which flavours I cannot tell as that's all the SEL said and there was no product left).

Beware of the Fish Selection though (if indeed there's any fish version in A) - M's price on that is £2.00.

    Shopping from T
A few days ago the following came back vs M:
    2x T Big Night In The Big Cheese 12" Pizza 460g £8.00 + n/a n/a £4.50

I checked prices of the fresh M pizzas (e.g. the M Kitchen ones, not the Savers). I noted the ones that seemed best. Then I went all round the store for the rest of the price collection exercise. Then, right at the end, after I'd reached and finished the Tablecovers and Napkins, I had the list from the T comparison right at the end. So I went back to the pizzas section - and tried more specifically this time to look at what may be comparing from T.

I found it seems it's the only pizzas I hadn't checked earlier in the day! T's showing M at 2 for £4.50 last time. I think there's a price increase in M on these now - I found these size of pizzas at £3 singularly and "any 2 for £5". I think the "Big Cheese Pizza" is most probably linked with M Kitchen Stuffed Crust Pizza - Double Pepperoni stuffed with Tasty Cheese 467g.

There's others I've found of similar, but not the exact same, sizes and these to be checked to see if T has any of those variety.

In case it helps, and for those wanting to check this, I have (£3, any 2 for £5) - Stuffed Crust Sausage & Bacon with Cheese 450g, Stuffed Crust BBQ Chicken & Cheese 500g and Fully Loaded Garlic Mushroom (contains Spinach, Sweetcorn and Green Chilli Kick) 430g. I also have one noted (it may be the BBQ Chicken) BBQ Chicken with Bacon, Pepperoni, Onion, Tomato & BBQ Sauce.

Finally, the phantom product Bernard Matthews Honey Roast Turkey Breast 200g is still £1 in M. Sadly, it does not appear that A or T stock any 200g product. Don't rush out to M to try to buy this however - the SEL says 200g, gives the price £1.00 and even a 50.0p/100g price per unit, however there is no 200g in existence, instead the 100g Bernard Matthews Honey Roast Turkey Breast is £1.00.

If A or T do start to stock a version of Bernard Matthews Honey Roast Turkey, at within plus or minus 10% weight range from 200g, then let's hope the SEL information gets picked up and used, though the actual product is 100g in M and, from my point of view, £1.00/100g absolutely no good and almost twice as much as I'd be prepared to pay!

Righto...I'm off to sleep now, as it's way too late at night! Just before I go however, I'd noticed the 70g Ham comparing to 60p at Morries on an APG. This product is actually 'any 2 for £1' in M so would be best per unit bought in twos; however, it's way too expensive per 100g for me now, at 83.3333...p/100g (on the m'buy price) in M - I was originally comparing to those sorts of prices myself a few years ago, then moved down to the 70-odd p/100g comparators, but now I'm about the 50p/100g level. I don't see why to pay more than has to be!

Ok...carryovers list for M is already there now (I'll amend my sig. later) and from me, goodnight!!:):):):wave: (More items of course to be put onto that list on Friday night more than likely, including, possibly, some sides/dips to go with the meals.)

Yours WAS the second M (I confirmed it in the morning ;))

Night all ...'badger badger badger badger badger save the badger'...

oooh my first response was either a video of 'badger badger badger, mushroom, mushroom' or this (it won because it makes me laugh more!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7wHMg5Yjg

Morning everyone. I spent the whole of yesterday cooking and the boeuf bourguignon was a success. Empty plates all round :j ... and lots of washing up. Completely worth it!

Hope you all have lovely days :)
