Might be my storage conditions, just done a bit of research, seems they like humid. :o

And hey guess what my bathroom is probably very humid at times this summer.

I refuse to throw it all away, damage limitation, plastic the way forward, but will totally negate any savings I made. :rotfl:

Pretty sure the weetabix will have to go though as it only has the waxy wrapper with a way out. Think that is where will have started, as I guess most of you probably know eggs are already in wheat products. :(

Good luck :) Is it any good as bird food instead of having to throw it away?

Coco pops opened this morning that I only bought few weeks ago for petrol coupon has mites too. Not looking good is it. I still have Special K from last year, I don't want to look. :(

Good news the variety pack minis flavours that my girls didn't like are ok, but they have not been stored upstairs. Phew as I promised them to Truffle Hunter. :)
how do I know if mine have mites? I still have a stock of porridge from the big A glitch. can you see them?

    Good luck TS :(
You've got me checking all my cereal now.
How can I tell if there's anything in them? Do the boxes look damaged? Can they get into the plastic bag inside the box if they're not open?
I've had weevils in my flour before  so I usually keep that in the freezer but never heard of mites in cereal :(

Bottom of the box dipdap. Open from top though so as not to disturb. The box of weetabix I found on saturday from my larder was obviously the source as there were loads on the bottom of one of the packs inside a box of 48. It did look like they were coming out from the weetabix.

They are already in any wheat products, so as you say mostly found in flour.

They are tiny so to check in the coco pops I did need to put my glasses on.

Did you pick up the correct New Pots with Herbs & Butter? There are two versions - the one I have always got has this green cardboard thing around it, with the use by date on that.

del21 - You could add the fish fingers, the flora and the peas to the Tesco shop not free but a good deal. :)

Really strange but the Pepperoni one has just appeared on mobile on the top of the list, wasn't there 5 mins ago - not on MSM!
Wish the website would keep up!

  • Morning everyone :)

Yay :j Lovely to see you posting. We'll have to arrange a meet up - it's been ages

This morning i'm going to investigate a new A's that has opened in the Broch, so for the first time ever I'll be able to visit a 'local' town and have the luxury of hitting A's and T's in one fell swoop :j

There is certainly an autumnal nip in the air first thing in the morning, I have had to dig out my gloves for the early walk.
Hi Westy, nice to see you back posting again. Where have you been for the last few weeks, somewhere nice?;)
