Well, I gather that the curries are still working - but I didn't manage to get any cos DH had to take me to Casualty instead of Tesco this afternoon ! Unbelievably I managed to stab myself with a plastic carrier bag. Unfortunately the bag was one of those heavy duty, stiff ones that you get in Duty Free shops and the corner hit me right in my eye - fortunately it just missed the cornea but it poked a rip in my eye ball and it bled like the clappers. DH is squeemish and couldn't look and I couldn't see exactly what I'd done cos of the blood running down so had to go to Casualty. There doesn't seem to be any permanent damage but I've got antibiotic drops and they reckon it will take about a fortnight to heal and I have a perishing patch to wear. It looks a real mess and I have family coming to stay tomorrow. At least it gets me out of the massive pile of ironing left from my Portugese holiday.

Ouch, hope it begins to heal and you feel better soon.

I am unable to participate in MSL (MySupermarketList) due to only having a dinosaur mobile, and also not having a paypal account, due to several in my family having been hacked. However, as hardly a day goes by without someone asking about it, maybe it is time the 'what and how' for MSL is added to the first post, as I have seen someone has produced an idiots guide on the thread recently.

I agree cos i aint doing this but im about to go looking to find out

DD2 (21 yrs) who moved out a few weeks ago to live her bf and whom I thought may struggle with budgeting, just popped in to pick some bits up (funny how they don't have room for everything and leave half their wardrobes behind).

She said she popped into her local T earlier and her bf and she got 3 carrier bags full of food for their fridge/freezer for less than £4. They were out with another couple buying food for dinner and DD1 told us their friends spent more money on a single pizza than they had on 3 bags of shopping. Bless her, I taught her well ;)
