Midwinter Im just catching up and saw your post about your Sons accommodation. My son is off to uni too. His uni doesn't have halls so he will be going into self catering accommodation. I was dismayed to find that the cheapest was £93 per week :eek:
He has since sorted out out his own accommodation, after joining the student room forum and finding out a bit more. The accommodation he is going to is £107 a week :( That seems about the going rate in the area.....and with food on top of that, it's eye watering!!

So whilst I can't offer much in the way of advice. I can give you all my sympathy. It's a stressful and expensive business!

Certainly is stressful and expensive. Had mega problems with finding accommodation for DS1, 2 years ago, cheapest going then, was £118 plus food. Had hoped it would all be plain sailing with DS2!

At least we've time to get it sorted for DS2, with DS1, accommodation wasn't confirmed until the day before I had to take him, now THAT was stressful!

    Night all :)

Just about to hit the hay and caught DH at the freezer, head inside the door and the kitchen in darkness like the secret lemonade drinker. What was he scoffing? A magnum. :rotfl:
