some of you are just sick...my children have had the trauma of loosing their pets and you make a joke. I have re-rung the company who have admitted they are selling goods of which they know are not fit for purpose...I have a full refund and compensation on the way...with no thanks to any of you sickos out there!

Thank you to those who at least were sorry and tried to give me advise on a new coop :)

Why am I thinking you have made up this surprisingly good resolution, given that only a few hours ago the retailer was not budging?

I take it you'll be naming the retailer now? :p

I wasn't getting any help from you guys which was all I asked for, I didn't realise what these forums were like, so I bid you farewell.

To get to the conclusion took a quickly call to the legal department at my husbands work who were more than happy to tell me what to quote, he soon listened then.

Some of you should be deeply ashamed of yourselves...however I doubt it very much!

Please let us know what you quoted, for people that find themselves in your position.

And the name of the company is ...

Liz site for heavens sake, no ones saying it wasn't sad or shocking- ( having once seen my kids pets blood against the snow one morning from a fox, I remember it well) but the Internet isn't for the unwary. Ring consumer direct next time.i tend to agree a chicken coop doesn't have to be fox proof.

With chickens you will always have some that meet a grizzly end. My daughter is 9 years old and now knows that they get eaten and sometimes have to be put to sleep. Perhaps time you explained this all a bit better to them as they will need to get used to it and if that is a problem then perhaps chicken keeping is not for you.

And before you get any more chickens build a proper run for them in which you can put the coop otherwise it will happen again. Remember you have to get it right 100% of the time the fox only has to get it right once!

One I very much doubt they said that. Poetic license springs to mind.

But then as someone who has to bring into it the trauma of the children and sickos, I am detecting a theme.
