Totally agree with this!

I had a bargaining session between Grange and Stratstone when buying my car, and ended up getting one of the models that was supposed to be a demo (!), dealer cost plus £1, and a spec that wasn't offered to the public at that time (that I really wanted).

If a dealership offers something, try to beat it, and yes, by all means push for fuel, mats and mud flaps as a way of getting more.

If you are happy with the price then go for it, but try and push for as much extra you can get... dont know where you are in the country but have you seen this?

That is OK - But we prefer a brand new car
We DID pay £11,858 for an unregistered (will be 63 reg) one - which saves £600 on the list price - We also managed to get free floormats and f&r mudflaps - worth an additional £120 and a full tank of fuel (£60) - so we are happy !!
