There is nothing wrong with having Sentinal. The whole issue is whether it was sold to you correctly or not. That can apply to any product going.
If you were mis-sold it then you complain. It is as simple as that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Thanks, but how do I know that? & does it fall under the CPP umbrella?0

There is no CPP umbrella. Just as the PPI issue is a not actually about the PPI. The issue is about how they were sold. Both products can be suitable and correct to have. However, both have had high proportions of mis-sales.
So, were you mis-sold it or not?
The period with concerns is between January 2005 and March 2011. If you wanted it then its not mis-sold. If it was sold to you with false representation then it was mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Sentinel Gold is a similar product but is sold by an entirely different company (Affinion) with absolutely nothing to do with CPP Ltd. The FCA review has not included Affinion so it does not fall under the so-called "umbrella". If you still think your policy was missold then by all means have a go at it, but you would certainly need genuine complaint reasons.0
