Misleading sale, what rights do I have?

On Monday I purchased a corner sofa, recliner chair and dining table set from Harvey's.
They had a sale on which ended Monday at 8pm (we had originally seen the items on friday but we still shopping about) not wanting to miss out my husband took the day off work.
Anyway, we paid a deposit and set up interest free credit but the following day the prices of all the bits were dropped further!
I'd like to know how they can do this when all their posters & information we were given was sale ends Monday at 8pm? (They now have new sale posters saying sale ends Tuesday at 8pm)
Do we have any rights with regards to cancelling and getting the deposit back based on being given misleading information/misleading advertising or do we just have to suck this one up? The difference in price is over £300.
Any answers greatly appreciated.

No rights here at all - just because a sale is coming to an end doesn't automatically mean their prices are going back up.
Have you called and asked them? They may be able to give you them at the new price - so phone up and be nice - you catch more flies with honey...Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
"Your Money Their Tricks" covered this a few weeks back. Think it was flights rather than furniture but the principle is the same. Can't remember the upshot but it might be worth finding it on the iplayer.

Why do people buy from these companies, it is always just smoke and mirrors.
You will be able to buy better quality at a cheaper price.0 -
They might well try to argue that the sale did indeed finish on the Monday and the one day sale on the Tuesday was an entirely different thing.0

There is nothing to force retailers to increase the price back to it's original selling price. The stipulation is only that the product should have been on sale for a minumum length of time in the majority of outlets before it can be advertised as a 'sale' item.
Sale prices often lower for various reasons. Most commonly due to lines being discontinued (very common in 'fashion' related industries - of which furniture is one) or poor sales of that line. If a line is something that the retailer wants rid of, or if it is a line that is performing poorly, then it makes no sense for the retailer to increase the price.
Ultimately, it boils down to whether you were happy with the deal when it was proposed to you (and given that you bought, it sounds like you were). If you didn't feel like a deal represents value, it is down to you to either barter the price down to what you feel is fair or walk away.
A polite phone call might help, particulaly if they do offer a cooling off period (although these are rare for furniture) but they don't have to do anything.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thought I'd update.
After contacting Harvey's they have agreed to reduce our finance plan by £200!
