SCS delivery problem

Hi there,
I ordered a sofa from scs 14 weeks ago, on credit (stupidly) and in store.
I was told at the time of ordering that it would take up to 10 weeks for delivery, and that the first finance payment would be taken 2 weeks before delivery. So.... I have not heard nothing from scs, the sofa has not been delivered, a payment has not been taken from my account, and I have heard nothing from them what so ever.
Where do I stand with this, as i think it is unreasonable to be kept waiting any longer, and I am desperate to get a sofa sorted out, so I could order and pay up front in cash from another company and have a sofa delivered within a week, we have been 14 weeks without anything to sit on lol
Can I cancel the contract as scs have not fulfilled their obligations or am i stuck having to wait and wait for the darn thing to turn up. I have read some stories of people waiting up to 6-9 months for delivery!

Unless you have specifically made 'time is of the essence' part of the contract then you're going to have difficulty cancelling.0
