In addition to the above, Carney is a white, rich, middle-aged man. He's a Tory voter let's face it.

Just reading this story, I do think the system is off kilter and will eventually not continue as it is now. I think even if Carney wanted to somehow cause a Labour government, he would still fail to take the hardline actions required to stop positive feedback on previous mistakes.
I dont blame any one person but all parties seem to enable each others mistakes in some way.

Who is the Volcker of this generation, Australia dropped their rates I saw.

QE has gone to repair banks balance sheets, and little has been passed on in loans to business.

Wait for the book to come out in a few years time. Then you'll comprehend what's been going on. The picture is far bigger and certainly more complex. Than you are suggesting.

The bugbear is that what we've missed will be so bleeding obvious as well.

Behind closed doors. There's a master class in maintaining confidence going on. Akin to someone slitting a major artery and people not noticing. The huge overhang of accumulated debt is going to come at a cost for UK citizens.

and so many got it wrong yet again.

Digger on the other hand gets an A*. When asked to comment, the sage of the gold holders had this to say......"It seems amazing that anybody could have thought I was going to be wrong, truly amazing. I am, however, still humbled by my genius at times. They can never stop QE."

Pound has surged on the back of the news too. Nearing a 12 month high. Carney will be having a fit!!

Maybe more QE for us in the near future on the back of this.

Why? Didn't realise the UK was tied to US economic policy.

To reduce the value of the pound.

I think it was carney who suggested more QE may be used to do such at a later point in his second speech on forward guidance.
