In principle - once you ask for a statement of reasons - the time clock on your appeal does not start to run until it is sent.
However - it may be sent and in principle lost in the post.
So it's a good plan to check at least weekly.0 -

are you appealing a decision or do you just want it for your records?0 -
Took me over 2 months to get mine! Repeated phone calls to them were made and I was always told they would send an email to the BDC to get them to send it to me.
Two days after I got my MP involved I had it here, also a phone call from them admitting it was wholly their error and they were sending me some compensation for the inconvenience caused and to cover the costs of the numerous phone calls I had made to them.0 -

just for my records so i can use it when i am reassessed in 18 months time
thanks0 -
They generally won't send a SOR for Support Group decision. Good luck in getting it out of them "blood out of a stone" comes to mind.0

If they will not send an SOR you can get hold of your records via a Subject access request - link click on it and it is 1st box to get form downloaded to PC and printed off. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dwp-request-for-personal-information0 -

Oops - misread the above postings.
Yes - they are under as I understnad it no obligation to supply one.
This is because there can be no appeal as the claimant cannot appeal for a more favourable decision.
I would echo the comment about SAR.
I would even go so far as to recommend requesting a yearly (or at least after every significant change) copy of your complete file - as they routinely shred stuff.0 -

.
Of course there is a right of appeal - this right exists for all decisions made.
Someone might disagree with being written off and put in the Support Group - they might consider that the 'Work' group is more suitable for them.
Why do you suggest that you cannot have a more favourable decision than the Support Group? The little extra money is here nor there.0 -

Although all decisions are appealable and on the SG decision letter it will say you have the right to appeal. (although I've never seen one to confirm this)..... There would be no point in appealing, because if you won your appeal into WRAG you would get less money - up to £28.10 lost per week. And, most importantly, a person in SG can volunteer to have WFI and work programme attendance just like someone in WRAG would get. And they are eligible, I believe, to unlimited permitted work, whereas WRAG are limited to 1 year. So they are at no disadvantage to be in SG only purely advantaged. This, I would think, would have played a part in Roger saying there can be no more favourable decision than a SG decison.0 -

I have not re-looked up the regulation, as it's not a very important issue.
But in general, appeals can be thrown out if no more favourable decision could be made.0
