Exactly; ignoring and walking past them as if they don't exist is an art worth learning. If it were me, i'd report them as well. Some of them are quick to call others a troll, spammer and spoil forum experience. i'm the kind who believes that even a spammer shouldn't be abused, instead leave it to the team to deal with.

other than that, may be many conversations, exchange, threads should just fade away from the site like it happens on messenger chats - let people keep asking, let us have different kinds responses, new ideas and thoughts and updated information on money saving threads and non money saving as well, like old style recipie threads; why should i have to suffer the same pecan pie recipie the moment someone asks for an idea for a derby pie dessert

Oh meher, you do make me smile. :)

Firstly, threads are very rarely merged immediately.

Secondly, I thought that you would have known this, but if you don't wish to 'suffer' the same recipe again then you just need to go to the last page of the thread and scroll back for the most recent recipes posted. If you need more advice on this this, please feel free to send me a pm and I'll be more than happy to help.

Other users, especially those who are new to MSE, and are looking for recipes are very glad to find them all in one place rather than having to waste their time searching the boards for lots of threads with recipes for the same thing. :)

that's a change after some lobbying; it wasn't the case before - i'm still not satisfied but ...

thanks but advice is not what i need; i like to see a change, so no thanks, i shall lobby where it matters and this site feedback back is for that purpose. Once again, I don't like long threads, Full stop.

i freely admit that i'm not one of them - when i do a search i like to see at least 25 different threads with different titles, a different theme in it, a different flow to it; more importantly i like to see the person contributing to it and their contribution, being valued and not just buried amongst several others

Our perceptions differ; it is ok to differ, you don't have to feel threatened about it - just because abc is active poster and contributer on old style and just because xyz is not seen around contributing on os, i'm not one of them who thinks that abc is right and xyz is wrong or that one opinion should prevail and the other shouldn't have a say - i just think their perceptions and expectations are different and it is ok to have an opinion that is different. The day that difference is celebrated would be the day that os would really be fresh and vibrant, in my eyes.

Thanks for all the replies. And I won't apologise if this response is not immediate, I am not on this website everyday. I am not bumping up an old thread. I am human. Not a spammer.
I will take some good advice and ignore the misers. On the point of business energy comparison, so what? It's my perogative to reply to any thread I want.
As for this one, I got the point about old threads. I'll bear it in mind but not too much.
