berocca tubes

Any bright ideas on craft projects I could use berocca tubes for? I don't want to throw them away as they look like they would be really useful for something but I'm drawing a blank on what at the moment

TIA

  • How about getting some nice tissue paper (maybe with a pattern) and using PVA to cover the outside. Then you could stick single flowers in them with a bit of water at the bottom.
  • Decoupage the outside and make them into gift tubes for coins, or mini sewing kits or small survival kits like the ones people sell for big birthdays etc

  • I love the idea of using them for sewing kits or something like a 'hang over survival kit' with sachets of alka seltzer.
  • Could you cover them in pretty paper and fit a coupe of rolls of polo's in? Great for mint lovers handbags - stops the mints disappearing into the general mulch in the bottom of the bag ;)

or make Medicinal Jelly Beans- fill the tube with multi-coloured beans and put a prescription label on the side "For stress relief - take two red beans, for a Pick-me up take a green and a blue, for Inspiration take three orange....;)" IYSWIM

  • They could be used for button/buts storage, too :)

The best practical use for old Berocca tubes is for the storage of Superglue.

Superglue is activated by moisture in the air and so an open tube of glue quickly hardens even if the lid is screwed on. However, I've discovered keeping the superglue tube inside the dry environment of a Berocca tube enables the superglue to stay useable for many months after opening.

    Give it a go!
