For stuff like this, I always countersign the box over the seal and take pictures....I am guessing you didn't do anything like that?0

Same happened to me with Littlewoods. I have returned sunglasses using Collect plus, received confirmation from Littlewoods on 8th of July that items arrived. Last week I have returned from my holidays and my neighbor gave me a parcel with an empty box and letter dated from 25th of July which says that the box I have returned was empty and I will be charged 3.95 for returned empty box and unfortunately I will be charged £130 for sunglasses!!
Same as you I tried to call them straight away, they told me to appeal in writing, which I did and now they are asking me for the proof of posting, which was nearly two month ago. I kept my proof of posting until receiving confirmation text from littlewoods that items are received by them. So now they refuse to deal with the claim without proof of posting... not sure what to do now, but I am not going to leave it like that, there is obviously some one who steals items from parcels!0 -
Have you got proof of purchase.
I would argue the toss. You know you put the watch in the box - they say no.
How do they know that someone hasn't taken it out between the post office and their warehouse.
Someone from their warehouse may even have opened the box upside down - watch fell and broke - person panicked.
It's all maybe - but I would ask them what proof they have that you didn't send it. Stick to your guns.0 -
Have you got a postage reciept still. Does it specify the weight?
If it was heavier when you posted it, you have a good argument!0
