buying a second hand Aprila RX 50 Moped

My Son,

Is looking to buy an Aprilia RX 50 moped. On an 08 plate 8000 miles for £800.00.

Is this a reasonable price ?

Also how reliable are these mopeds ?

Any information would be a great help.

Depends if the piece of string is this long or this long

Its worth what someone is willing to pay. What condition is it in? How has it been treated, Has it ever been serviced?

My two lads have both had RS50'S the sport version of this bike.

They are fragile beasts and do need looking after I would be wary of using it for anything other than road use. If he looks after it with quality oil and regular routine maintenance it should get him about a bit and is really good at teaching youngsters roadcraft for when they move onto cars.


In saying that the eldest has moved onto bigger bikes despite owning a car now.
