Lost "Sent" items in outlook

My "sent" emails have vanished and no longer appear in the "SENT" folder. This started a week ago and nothing shows since then. Any ideas how I can retrieve them?

Have you looked in the deleted items folder?
Sometimes the emails might be set to auto delete once sent.0 -
Depends a lot on where your original email is stored and how you access it. What do you connect outlook to? Is it an ISP service provider account via POP3 or are you connecting to an Exchange server at your place of work for example?0
