    Christmas on the Quay, Poole - 1st December 2013
    There is an evening of entertainment on Poole Quay with Father Christmas making an appearance. The local boats join in by decorating their boats with decorations and twinkling lights and there are prizes awarded for the best ones! There will also be carols under the Christmas tree, live music, mince pies, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and a family fun activity area.

    This unique evening will consist of a round trip journey on the restored and re-laid Purbeck line.     Wareham Christmas Festival Sunday 8th December
    you could begin at the church of St. Martin’s on the Walls, Wareham. BH20 4AG. Enjoy an hour of festive singing at 3pm in the company of local group Canzonetta in the atmospheric setting of this tiny Saxon church. Finishing in time for you to walk down the road and watch the arrival of Father Christmas in Wareham.
    Wareham Town Christmas celebrations start at 4.30pm – Christmas parade followed by Father Christmas arriving and climbing down the chimney of the Red Lion pub –The Wareham Father Christmas Parade is eagerly awaited every December. Organised by volunteer members of the Wareham Father Christmas Committee for over 50 years, this annual spectacle has become something of a local tradition and is eagerly awaited by children and their families.     Chocolate Workshop
    A selection of dates in December
    The Purbeck chocolate company “Chococo” in Swanage run chocolate making workshops designed for children age 7 years +. Whilst the content will vary by season, amongst other things, they could get the chance to make and decorate their lollies, dip honeycombe chunks into chocolate, make popcorn truffles, and create their own chocolate pictures.     Festive Family Horse Rides
