Feedback not left

I have a seller who hasn't left me feedback even though I paid immediately for the goods - what more was I supposed to do - go round and package them up myself?
They aren't even a powerseller so I doubt that they do their feedback in batches, it's been about a month now so I'm guessing that they won't leave it now.0 -

Seems to do the trick as the vast majority either leave feedback first or send me a quick email to let me know it's arrived safely, and then I take that as the cue that they're happy and I leave them feedback first.
If they don't do either though, I don't ever bother chasing them up, nor do I leave them feedback. They were told the craic in the dispatch email and if they can't be bothered to respond to that in some way then bollox to them.

I actually do something fairly similar...and it works for me. In my despatch email I ask buyers to let me know when item arrives and say once I know they have the item I can then close the transaction by leaving positive feedback. Usually of course I get no contact whatsover, but just get positive feedback..which I duly return.
I NEVER ever contact them again to ask either if their goods have arrived, as if they hadn't I'm sure i would hear soon enough, or ask for feedback.
If anyone ever emails me and asks me for feedback, or insists on it ( as has happened) I will often not bother as begging for feedback makes me suspect that they are expecting something to go wrong ...and I wait to see what that something is. I did once have a very large buyer send me regular emails insisting I leave her feedback as it was compulsory..I explained to her politely that I could not in all honesty leave her a positive as she had been a difficult buyer, so if she wanted feedback I would feel obliged to leave her a neutral to warn other sellers, and she soon shut up!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. :T That's just the same as me :j but I like your wording better so I'm gonna nick it and use that instead on future sales!0 -

Have you received the item and left feedback yourself for it? It could be that they are waiting for you to confirm that you are happy with the item, and the transcation is complete normally indicated by leaving feedback.
As mentioned above, the seller is probably not the pushy sort to remind you about feedback, so if you dont leave it for them, they are not concerned about returning any.
I would not lose any sleep over it - you've paid yer money, you've got yer item! Feedback is a voluntary part of the process anyway.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I agree with steve.
Most sellers these days don't leave feedback until they know the buyer is happy. If you leave a pos just because someone paid on time (big deal) you put yourself at risk of getting a hasty neg from a muppet seller when they should be making contact to sort it out. (It's very easy to leave an angry neg when you know the seller can't neg you back!)
Have you told them you're happy with your item? Or left feedback to show this?
FYI (for everyone's information) ebay reps suggest that it should be the buyer who leaves feedback first. My TV is broken!

Yes, I left them nice feedback as soon as I received the item.0

I hope that as the buyer of that new drum you'll soon be needing to replace the one that you've worn out, you'll be leaving feedback first for your seller Fay....

Me? Same old drum here. You're the one who's only recently changed your tune about feedback.
And yes, for about the hundredth time, I do leave feedback first when buying. My TV is broken!

While leaving Feedback is voluntary, eBay encourages all members to leave Feedback after each transaction is complete. There are different philosophies on whether the buyer or seller should leave Feedback first. Each member may choose the best approach to leaving Feedback for them

i always prefer for the other party to leave feedback first when i'm the seller or buyer lol0 -
I've lost 100's of feedbacks to people who can't be bothered to leave it. Now I don't leave theirs until mine has been left. Gives them more of an incentive.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
