Child benefit after separation

Hi,
I'm looking for some help here. My wife and I opted out of child benefit on the grounds that I was earning more than the threshold. I am now moving out of the family home (amicably) and I was wondering if my wife can now re-register to receive child benefit? She only work 10 hours per week on a low wage so her eligibility is fine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

No problem. she can also get child tax credits...and if her income is really low possibly a small job seekers allowance payment. If she increases her hours she can get working tax credits.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thanks for that, this is all a bit of a struggle for me getting to grips with it all. She wants to be in a position where she is as financially independent from me as possible, despite my protests.0

But what about any mortgage, council tax, day to day living? Will she need to look at various kinds of state support?0 -
It's early days. I have offered her as much support as she needs. The property will be sold at some point down the line, but the priority at the moment is stability for the little people. I believe she is looking at going back into full time employment, or at least more hours.
Thanks for your help0
