0%balance transfer question as some cards connected.

if you do a 0% balance transfer I know some companies are connected to one another so wont accept you. I have a Lloyds tsb mastercard so can I apply for Halifax or any?

Nobody seems to know, though I think we've established that you can get a current account switching bonus for going from Lloyds to Halifax.

Which seems bizarre, but on the whole Lloyds and Halifax behave in public as if they've never met. They keep the brands firmly separate and they haven't done anything to inform all the customers who still don't know that they merged years ago.
