I hope it's a savings account rather than a current account? May as we'll make some interest on it while the balance is building.

I have a saving account I call my Sweep account. Every night I check my current account balance and round it down to the nearest £10 (so if balance was £53.67 I would transfer/sweep £3.67 into the sweep account).

Its amazing how quickly the balance builds up, and I've never really missed the money yet. Of course, you could round down to the nearest £1 or £5 to suit your budget

I really like this idea, might start giving it a go myself, I am also jumping on the £1 a day and £10 a week starting today but I am going to back date to the start of they year when I get in tonight, do you guys find it easier setting up a standing order into a savings account or actually having physical pots?

Took my change pot to Natwest today just over £27 in there, paid straight into my saving account with them, going to do the £1 a day and £10 a week along with rounding down the balance of my current account at the end of each day straight into the saving account.

Really want to keep all 3 of these up and will hopefully have a decent amount by the end of year.
