    Morning All,

TTFTM - well done you two re debt, onwards and upwards! :T
Molly - hope all goes well at appointment today.
Sunshine - welcome back. Hopefully this op has been more successful than the last.

Told GS yesterday that he is going on holidays, to my cousin's cattle farm, with us at the weekend; he is all excited. It is only from Saturday to Monday, but that will be a long time for him. ;)

Son-in-law was doing a house clearance the last couple of days and presented me with two small bags of US currency and Canadian currency. Reckon there is enough to pay for a meal while we are away on our "big" holiday next month (more about that later). So I will have to get him a pack of beer as a thankyou.

Have a good day everyone

    Morning all,

just catching up on all your news.

Bargainbird, love the hairstyle. Ive got plans for mine too but it needs to grow a bit. Its getting there but not as quickly as i'd like.

Vacuuming half done (the top half) and beds are stripped. Kitchen floor done and i'm having a rest.:o

Pork for tea I think. Roasties for me and 'Youngest' and mash for 'His Lordship'.

Sunshine4. So sorry to hear your operation needs redoing. I hope your not in too much pain.:(

    Have a good day all,

  • Good morning all,

just popping in for a little catch up - will try and catch up properly over the next couple of days.

Had a nice little break and the boys brought home the bronze medal so all in all a good trip. Back to reality this morning though as I returned to work to find almost 500 emails sitting waiting for me!

Had a much larger mobile phone bill than normal for last month and that was paid yesterday - wiped almost 1/3rd of what was left in my account so thankful it's payday on Friday! Shouldn't need to up my limits yet though as I've just been told I'm getting a work phone plus I only went over as my parents had no minutes left so I rang them for things!

Will be working on next month's budget later today as I want to be extra tight this month - other than treating (I say treat, he may see it as a mean thing!) bf to his first ever Nandos; I want to keep it to the bare minimum so I can save a good chunk towards bf's birthday and Christmas (need about £100 for his birthday some of which I already have) and about £200 in total for Christmas (him, my mum, dad and brother oh and foodie treats!) so need to save about £66 per month (easy done..ish) but want to save up a lot more than that too! So will be trying to be quite strict with myself until December now!

    am back.

I went to the hospital on the 9th Aug for a followup on my shoulder, and the surgeon says its not moving properly it has to be redone:eek:
So operation is over and I am just home yesterday. Physo starts in two weeks hope this time is better.
I am very slow at typing as I only have one arm so I am reading just not typing very much.

    Hope everyone is well:)
Sorry to hear you have to have the shoulder re-done; what a bummer! Don't worry about typing long posts - just check in and say "hi" if that's all your good arm will cope with, just so we know you're ok.:o

Molly best of luck with your appointments - you're so brave; I'd have blue kittens and purple puppies if I had to go to London, the place terrrifies me!

Bargainbird love the hairstyle; hope the hairdresser does a good job for you.:o

I'd like to take a good six inches, possibly more, off the length of my hair; but every time I mention it, Mr LW looks so crestfallen (he has the "kicked spaniel puppy" look off to a T):D and he always says "But I like you with long hair" in such a sad voice, so I don't push it. Besides, it's him that'd be doing the cutting, and he'd probably just refuse. He keeps the ends trimmed for me happily enough, but chopping a load off the length is another kettle of fish altogether.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Morning all,

TTFTM well done I bet it feels great, can't wait to start crossing debts off our list:j

Had a busy morning, texts flying backwards and forwards, everyone is very excited about my brothers visit. I'm planning a party and inviting lots of family, no doubt there will be some drama with someone but hopefully it will be a nice evening.
My other brother is taking myself and hubby away for a couple of nights to the Christmas markets in York which will be lovely.

Just helping my youngest pack for Leeds, he is over excited. It will be nice to have a quiet weekend just the two of us. First time in 30 yrs we have had four nights to ourself :D

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good afternoon everybody, hope all is well,

    Dumpling- sorry about Fatcat-((hugs)))
TTFTM- well done on the debt :T
    BB-nice hairstyle

Not much happening here apart from the usual tidying,& done some typing for DS1.Taken delivery of a new fire for DS2s house too.He was a bit fed up last night, they went to couple the loo back up and found the cistern had a big crack in & they don't know how it happened.Ordered a new one-£100,they could get a new toilet for less but it wouldnt match the sink etc.

Had a letter today saying I have had a payment into my account. This relates to my DDads estate from 2007! Only small and has to be shared with my 2 brothers so it's just over £100 each but a nice little surprise from Dad :A.My youngest brother was pleased when I rang him earlier as I did a direct payment to his account,he is going on hol on Saturday so it'll be put to good use.

Meat pie from the freezer for tea.I need to start using some stuff as I can't get anything else in,but a lot of it is ys meat bargains.

Glad your Dad enjoyed his fish and chips RR bless him.

    Julie-enjoy your quiet weekend :D

    Afternoon All

Jools - That is good news, hope all the other tests are clear too.
RR - Belated Birthday wishes to your Dad, glad to hear he enjoyed his fish and chips (my favourite too!).
BB - Happy Haircut, that's a lovely style and I am envious, I have quite curly hair and that is one style that I could never have!
    TTFTM - Well done!
Hugs to those I've missed and anyone else who would like one.

Been to the dentist this afternoon so feeling quite sorry for myself! The last dentist seemed only to be interested in root treatment and expensive crowns so there is quite a lot to be done, mainly replacing fillings. It was horrible but the (male) dentist is very young and extremely good looking so that made it easier!

Contacted insurance about the break in, DD already has a new laptop and other things are on the way. I am still really angry with the thieves as the jewellery can't be replaced and the memories have gone with it.

Anyway, the house is cleared up but I think the viewers I had on Sunday have taken fright as the EA said by law they had to tell them that we had a break in. Never mind.

    Take care. XX
