in Credit cards
Hello,
I recently closed my Capital One Secured Card in hopes of allowing me to apply for a Capital One Progress Card as I've been informed that you cannot hold two cards at once.
My main question is how long will it take before the Secured Card account is fully closed? Is it when I receive acknowledgement from Capital One and my security deposit? Can I call them to confirm it's closed?

Personally I'd wait until it states on your credit report that the account has been settled, which could be upto 4 weeks after they let you know the account is closed.
But if your applying for a card from the same company, notification may be enough.0
