I have my first virus

I still have 10 days of Norton to run and it popped up to tell me I have a virus called 'Bloodhound' and it is unable to repair it

I downloaded AVG, Zone Alarm and Microsoft Anti-Spyware. How the hell did I manage to get a virus with all this on the system? And how do I get rid of it?

If you look at FAQ's which is a sticky at the top of the Techie Board, look at "Internet Security- Free & Viruses" and you will get lots of ideas on security from there.

It doesn't matter how much protection you've got, new viruses are being created all the time and sometimes will get through, often when you open attachments in emails or when downloading things (so in effect you invite them onto your computer!
