Rightmove or Zoopla?

Which do you prefer?

I've been using Rightmove as I've become accustomed to its interface, but my husband has said occasionally properties appear on Zoopla but not on Rightmove. Not sure if the reverse is true. I'd get a migrane trawling both though!

Zoopla's insistence on publishing its "valuations" which are completely unreliable makes me shy away from anything to do with it.

I also use rightmove's sold prices for comparables, so I have a bit of a professional interest in the latter.

Rightmove urinates all over Zoopla, as does its app
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

For finding houses I originally used RM, then went over to Zoopla as it was easier/possible to get sold prices. Now that RM have upped their website (probably in response to Zoopla), I'm back on RM.

However, now I use the Land Reg to get sold prices as it seems much simpler ...

Both, but that's just because I'm an OCD geek who feels any information whatsoever will save me from a huge mistake. So, I couldn't tick "other" and "both" on the survey...

It's very unusual indeed for a property to appear on Zoopla but not on Rightmove. I've never seen this happen in several months of house hunting.

Zoopla's valuations are estimates, not precise calculations - and they do publish a range, which is pretty accurate in most cases.

Rightmove any day of the week, it's become the standard platform that all the local estate agents use - they were actually uploaded here before their own websites in a lot of cases when I was looking for a place this year!
  • I found it easier to use Zoopla if you want an idea of how long the property has been on the market.
