RRP of older cars
Options
Apologies if there is an obvious site, I've googled as best I can but no luck.
Is there a site that lists the original RRP of a car back in the day.
eg. can I find the original price of a 2006 Audi A4 1.8T quattro S Line 4d.
Just curious as the the original RRP's of a few cars.
Thanks in advance.

Parkers used car valuations. The valuations are a little out, but the RRP seems accurate

Parkers, shows it as costing £23,385.

Thanks people appreciated
P.S... Depreciation happens to make my eyebrows rise!
Not the Audi so much, and I maintenance would be a killer, and they are probably all scruffy, but it never ceases to amaze me that I could drive a £25-30K car for £3k ish
Cheers0 -
Even worth, adjusted for inflation it would be over £28k today...
£28,660.66

I've always really liked this car,

Amazing it was (inflation adjusted) £33,000 back in the day. Now could pick up for £2,000.
Mind you may cost £3,000 a year in maintenance!0 -
I bet the repair bills match that of a £30k car though.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Our fleet manager bought a 2000/W Mercedes CL600 (£106k new) for £3000 last year. She went with the reasoning of a well known motoring journalist. For a low-mileage driver, these are ideal.
Here's the original TV clip.

I have a pair of 10yr + jags cost to me a couple of years ago <£10k. cost new >£100k. Maintanence has been a pleasant surprise as parts are cheap from third party suppliers (not that they have needed much)
don't think i'd go back to newer cars now after seeing what I can get for the same money.0 -
We have just part exchanged our lovely BMW for a more modern car, let's face it, the insurance premiums, road tax and fuel costs, as well as the cost regular maintenance required to keep it in pristine condition, has prompted this move.
They gave us £4500.00 for her, (I suppose they wanted the sale) it is to our advantage. Each service costs us around £300.00 and of course any replacements needed have always been badged BMW, so we have paid cash for the new car, take delivery of it on Saturday, have a 7 year warranty, £30.00 road tax a year and of course no MOT for three years. I think in fairness it has cost around £3000.00 for maintence in the last three years and this includes the very best tyres for the car. Whoever buys the Silver Ghost is going to get a very good car. Filling the tank costs over £76.00 a week.
I agree if anyone wants to own a high end car, this is one way to get one, but be prepared for the service charges and the insurance premiums. I am so sad to see the Silver Ghost go, we have really enjoyed it, but hopefully we will have as much fuin with the new car.
I got my Pixie Mobile this week, with good deal from the same dealership.0 -

In return you will face depreciation which could end up costing more than the BMW did on a yearly basis.
Not that I'm against new cars, I have one myself, but I think people who buy a new car to 'save' money are really doing it for other reasons.0
