Extractor fan for kitchen

The extractor fan in my kitchen doesn't have slats that can be closed when the fan is not in use and consequently the wind blows through the open vents when the fan is shut off
I've just had central heating installed and worried that, the this coming winter, the wind blowing into the kitchen through the open vents will make the kitchen cold and waste the heat from the radiator
Looking on line at kitchen extractor fans I can't see any that have slats that can be closed. Wondering if they still make them. (Feeling a bit out of touch) Should I be looking at getting a cooker hood instead? (even though my cooker isn't on on outside wall)

This Xpelair fan is fitted with a backdraft shutter mechanism:

That may be a newer version of the older model you were thinking of?
This Vent Axia one is fitted with a motorised shutter:

newey & eyre own brand fans have backdraft mechanisms and I believe the are made by vent axia but rebranded for them. I have 1 in the bathroom and seems to be performing well0

I fitted a Vent Axia VA150 in my last house and it had motorised shutters on the inside to stop too much draught coming in.
That said, no shutter is going to be 100% effective so it might be worth considering where your prevailing wind direction is and positioning the fan accordingly, if at all possible and maybe consider a humidistat as well so the fan will come on automatically when the humidity raises - the Vent Axia one also was quite quiet and had a manual pull cord too.0
