Hello,
I know there are a few similar threads at the moment so I hope no one minds me posting one similar.
Please find below the specs of the car for which we are looking. Sorry, I know they are quite specific, but I have tried to explain why.
(1) Budget £6000 to £7000 (but can maybe stretch to 8)
(2) 5 door (to get elderly parents in) - in the back seats easily I mean not the boot
(3) Comfy seats (I've had a blood clot in my thigh and current car seats cuts off my circulation!)
(4) Good-sized boot for camping
(5) We live in the middle of nowhere so good for country lanes and motorways as well
(6) Something that can cope with a 90 mile commute each day
(7) Something that is quicker to react than our current Corsa 1.4 sxi which cannot overtake tractors and is rubbish in town.
(8) Cheap to run and repair
I know I am asking for the impossible, however, we don't really care about make or colour. We thought perhaps a Fiesta 1.4 or a Focus 1.6?
Thank you for any suggestions.
Spider.

Have a look a a Skoda Octavia (or an estate model for an even bigger boot). May not be the most exciting car but is spacious and reliable and the diesel engine ones have a bit of grunt so overtaking wouldn't be a problem.
Fiesta is a good car but isn't probably the best for your requirements. The majority of Octavias are diesel and thats probably the best considering your commute each day.0
