Had a relaxing day yesterday - parents popped over on their way home from visiting their new granddaughter - it was lovely to see them.
Popped down to Mr T this morning and picked up lots of half price store cupboard goodies. I'm thinking of adding these items into my will as I have several years supply of some things- at least I won't be hit by inflation for the next couple of years :rotfl:
Daily food budget £6.65
Mr T. fuel savings 12p/l
Reached my first £10 payout from VO yesterday - will have to wait till I reach £15 to get my amazon voucher.

Penny, are you keeping an eye on FB's saving thread on the savings board? I know income generation is key to your future plans so might be something on the thread that catches your eye?

Beautiful morning though a tad chilly - it's going to drag my gas usage up but hoping to just about keep within my dd budget for the month.
Nothing much to report this morning. My new Santander 123 account is now showing up so I just need to transfer two dds and wait for my ISA to end on 4th April and I can start earning some more money.
Treated myself to Your Money or Your life at the weekend on my kindle (i have vowed that next month I won't buy any books). Also signed up for a trial of Amazon Prime which meant that I could borrow a book I wanted to read for free. Must remember to cancel the membership in 4 weeks.
Watched Captain Philips yesterday - brilliant film well worth a watch.
Daily food budget £7.23
Have a good Monday

Just rushing in quickly to let you know that a book called Mini-missions For Simplicity by the lady that runs the Be More With Less blog is free on Amazon from 25-27 March.
Thought it would be up your streeta penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -

Jinxy jinxy! I requested a copy for my Birthday last night, although I'll be getting a paper copy as you can't gift Kindle books0
