Can you beat 30p each for party boxes?

As the title says, I'm after the cardboard party boxes for food/favours for a kids party but the cheapest I can find them (even buying in packs of 10 or 20) is for 30p each. I'm going to need in the region of 50 boxes so am on a mission to see if I can get them any cheaper, the idea being is I can save on food cost and waste by only catering the exact amount I need. Have already tried ebay wholesale. Any ideas?

  • Have begged them in the past from mc d`s but the kids were so upset when they saw the healthy contents that it wasn`t worth it. Have also used the brown carrier bags they use at the chinese. Also used the kids boxes from asda when they were only a quid and added some more stuff. They also sent twice as many toys, loony tunes helicopters and zoo animals, so the party bags were sorted. Incidentaly i use self seal plastic bags as party bags, saves spilling the contents.

Have you tried asking at a local bakery if you can buy some cake boxes off them? I know they're a bit plain and boring but they're cheap!

That's a good idea. Maybe the OP could get the kids to decorate their own boxes at the party?

    Hi there Kelinik
I have just been on https://www.partypack.co.uk and they have some items in the bargain basement...rather than basic boxes these are the ones that are in the shape of boats or planes and have a hole in the top for a plastic cup etc..i guess it depends if you want them for the guests to take stuff home in, or so they can have an individual meal whilst at the party...they are £1.80 for 10, but not sure about postage...might be worth a look as i cant describe them very well LOL

    hope its of some help...

is there any particular reason why it needs to be a box rather than a party bag?

i think the paper bag idea is quite cool. especially if you are having a themed party, they would be easy to jazz up cheaply to set off your theme :T

Yus pavlov, its because I'm using them for the food not as 'party bags'. :)
