Shower back to bath

I'm hoping to move house shortly and have just started looking at properties.
One property which I'm planning to view has no bath in the bathroom. As far as I can tell from the (not very good) photos on the Estate Agent's website, it's clear that the current occupants are elderly and it looks as though at some point he bath was replaced with a walk-in shower with extra grab bars and a pull down seat.
For me, having a proper bath is essential and I'm wondering how difficult and expensive it would be to get the walk in shower taken out and a bathtub put in. (I would have to get a professional in, I do not do DIY except for minor jobs)
The details say "Shower Room
8’1” x 5’7” Upvc double glazed window to side, radiator, low level w.c, hand basin and shower cubicle with electric shower."
Any rough ball-park figures would be much appreciated -the house has lots of good points and is at the lower end of my price range, but I'm not sure how big a job this would be. Looking at the pictures, I think it would have to include removing and replacing all the tiling and on the walls, and putting flooring down.
Is £3,000- £5,000 likely to be a realistic budget?
Any thoughts gratefully received.

If you are going to strip it out right back to bricks/blocks and start again then your price window isn't unreasonable.

thanks. If I do buy that property it may well be that it would turn out to be less drastic, but for budgeting purposes I'd rather be pessimistic than optimisticAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0

Why not get the whole bathroom done? My neighbour had his bathroom redone, fully tiled walls and floor, £5-6K for labour and materials, excluding furniture. I paid about the same. This is in the East Hants area. Prices vary significantly by region.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

I was working on the basis that as there are grab-bars and a seat attached to the tiling, and the shower cubicle is attached at both ends ot the tiled walls that the tiling would be likely to need redoing, once they were removed, and that the foot-print of a bath tub may well be slightly different to that of the shower so likely to need to redo the floor covering, (plus it looks pretty old and tatty!) and that it would make sense to repaint any non-tiled bits at the same time, so by that stage you're practically re-doing the whole thing anyway..
Not sure I'd bother replacing the WC & washbasin unless they looked really scruffy up close. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
