I have no nail varnish remover, is there anything else that will remove it from my nails?

Try applying more nail varnish over it, then wiping it off straight away.

It's worked for me in the past when I've run out of remover :)

...or chip it off with your thumbnail, or soak your nails in very warm water with a drop of liquid soap and it might peel off. If all else fails use an angle grinder....

Thank you both for the advice, I might give the angle grinder a miss as I would have to wear protective goggles and I wouldn't be able to see my toes very well;)

Your post has just reminded me of a friend of mine ~ she used to get her hubby to user a sander on the hard skin on her feet!! Yes, I mean a proper plug in sander! :rotfl: :rotfl:

This does work but it's better if you do it with a clear polish over the top. ;)

People do the strangest things, thank you all for advice.
  • if i have run out of nail varnish remover i just use a bit of hairspray ( normally a cheap brand in my cupboard as i don't use it much) works wonders or yes the using of a clear nail varnish will work too

Might not be a problem for long if you slip with the grinder... whoops no more toes...!

Then I would have bottles of nail varnish going to waste. Not very moneysaving;)
