ebay search is broken

Just to let you know that for lots of us ebay search is broken and has been down all morning,

We tried to search for a dvd and it says there are no dvd's at all for sale, where there should be thousands.

Tried to search for our own things for sale and it says we have nothing for sale and haven;t sold anything either.

Ebay say its a fault. We are on firefox, but people on internet explorer as well are affected. I spoke to someone on chrome who is affected but when we log in via chrome it worked.

So all auctions ending today will be hit

Works fine for me on Internet Explorer and Firefox. Glad I don't have any auctions ending today though. Have ebay said how many will be affected by this?

This is not an unusual glitch, I have posted about it before with very few people agreeing with me, it's the old 'turned off' conspiracy.

I regularly browse for goods on one device and when i recheck later on a different one I can have 10x more results for the same search words.

I haven't noticed any real problems here, but of course I wouldn't as I don't know what the search isn't showing me! I have made sales this morning so some people are finding my goods.

I guess that depends on the exact reason. I'd guess not as they have number of free listing days anyway and they assume business sellers will just keep selling anyhow.

I can't find any news on that at all, what did you see/hear it on?

There are threads all over the community boards- so many that regulars are getting cross at new ones being started when there are plenty already going.

I had the problem. Also had an auction that ended this morning.

I spoke to CS and they told me to clear my cache/cookies and it seemed to work. I too am on firefox.

Thankfully the item sold but could've reached more if the search facility was working.

Oh. Strange, I've never noticed any and no search brings up any related results...

Nothing here. There are apparently no items listed on ebay anymore. I wondered why I wasn't getting any sales! Normally get 10 - 20 a day. Thanks ebay!

We noticed it by chance when my son was checking our sales that were ending today. We had no bids on something that should sell so he wanted to check completed items. Its a common item really but it come back with none for sale and none sold which made no sense.

He checked further and found out the search said we hve nothing for sale. Nonsense.

So while some people are affected and others aren;t all our sales ending today could finish either unsold or with low bids

    xx
