Hi, does anyone know if I can close the First Direct account by sending a letter instead of phoning them (or through secure messaging online), since they don't have a branch? I'm not claiming the £100 exit 'bonus'.

Thanks, who reads the T&Cs in full?
I sent them a secure message online, curious if it will work. 0 -

That's not necessary for a query such as you posted. You simply need to find and open the electronic document and "edit/find on this page" the text you're looking for. Thanks, who reads the T&Cs in full?
Took me all of 20 seconds to get your answer earlier. It would have been even quicker if I hadn't had to skip all the "disclose" words (in the privacy section) when what I wanted was simply "close".0 -
So I guess it worked - closing via online secure messaging - as I can't log in anymore.0
